Murphy Semai Oil Company Ltd. - Murphy Oil a representative office mid-2006, and signed its first Production Sharing Contract (PSC) in May 2008 for the South Barito Block in South Kalimantan. This was followed, in November 2008, by the Semai II Block PSC. The block is Located south of West Papua and Murphy Oil is working in equal partnership with other well known companies. Murphy Oil views South East Asia and Indonesia in particular, as a key area of growth, and the company will continue to expand its exploration and production activities to help produce the energy the region needs to fuel its development. Capitalizing on its experience and success in finding and producing oil and gas on five continents; Murphy in Indonesia Looks to continue building its portfolio of opportunities and to become a significant oil and gas producer in the country. Currently Murphy is looking to grow its Indonesian Operation by appointing exceptional leaders in their respective fields.
