We are currently taking applicants for the following position:

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - MINING

Education: Bachelor Degree (S1) from Mining Engineering / Geology.

Requirements:

-Minimum 5 (five) years working experience with relevant experiences in Mining & Mining Services industry, preferably with mining services contractor.

- Excellent English skills - spoken, written, and presentation.

- Preferable to have worked with a world class International Corporation.

- Requires the ability to coordinate own efforts such that they meet business overall strategy and targets.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills.

- Must be proficient in Excel, CRM Systems, Power Point, and report preparation and presentation.

- Willing to travel from time to time.

Responsibilities:

- Establish, populate and maintain a database system of market intelligence including opportunities and competitor analysis in order to ensure database will be reliable reference source and planning tool for Petrosea Management.

- Establish and develop relationships with new potential and existing clients via sales calls, face to face visits, attendance at networking events, presentations and liaise with internal staff to follow up any leads. Prepare client, potential client and other relevant contact plans. Co-ordinating correspondence, meetings and calls for GM and other management in order to maintain relationship and source opportunities for new business.

- Learn and analyse Petrosea Strategy in order to be able to assess fit of opportunities against Petrosea strategy, business and operation requirements, capabilities and future market growth potential.

- Identify opportunities for growing business by maintaining up to date knowledge of relevant markets via gathering and analysing information from the following sources: clients, competitors, partner contractors/ sub-contractors, consultants, and suppliers.

- Perform first pass review of any new potential opportunities. Assessing the size, economics and any relevant background information. Presenting this review as a report to management. In order to provide recommendation as to size and viability of opportunity.

- Prepare monthly Business Development Report detailing: project development opportunities, top ten projects, major pre-qualifications and major tenders, client contact plan activities and present overview for monthly management meeting.

- Gather and analyse information from the following sources of information, predict trends in relevant markets and maintain an up to date understanding of market dynamics and government thinking: newspapers, oil and gas publications, mining publications, economic reports, memberships to professional bodies, industry based reports, client strategies, and conferences; in order to ensure market dynamics and politics feed into Petrosea’s business strategy development/ review process and guide decisions for expansion, consolidation and getting out of markets.

- Liaise with management team and undertake ad hoc research projects (as requested by management or as required by new business opportunities identified).
